I suspect almost all my tech friends already agree with me on this, but: Look. We're rich. Right on the same streets we work and live on, people are dying of exposure and hungry and sick. They need a place to stay and basic care. We must tax ourselves.
I promise, @jack, we will all still have enough left over. Especially you; I'm just a (well-paid) peon. This is a night-and-day moral issue.
I think it's fair to say that "should we make houses for people who are dying for lack of them, since we can pay for it" is as easy a moral issue as "are Nazis bad".
